Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here,
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends
so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and
our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor;
those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again,
just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing:
they each miss someone very special, someone who was left behind.

They all run and play together,
but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent; his eager body begins to quiver.
Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass, faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again.
The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into those trusting eyes,
so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...

在天空的一方，有個地方叫做彩虹之橋。

每當一位和我們特別親近的動物離開這個世界時，他便會去了彩虹之橋。

那兒有許多青草原及小山丘讓我們的動物朋友奔跑及遊玩。
那兒有充足的美食、水份及陽光使我們的朋友感到溫暖及舒適。

在那兒，所有以前患病及年老的動物全都重新恢復健康和青春活力，所有以前身體受傷及殘缺的全都回復健全的身體，他們回復到像我們夢境中記起的模樣。

在那兒，他們都感到滿足與快樂。可是，唯一不足的是每一位的朋友都想念他們遺留下在彩虹之橋另一方的心愛。

他們在彩虹橋上一起跳呀、玩呀，直到一天，其中一位突然停了下來，他遙望遠方，他那明亮的雙眼變得熱切，他的身體開始顫抖、?那間，他跑離大隊，他奔越過綠綠的草原，他那雙腿兒使他越跑越快。

他在萬物之中尋找到了你，你和你的心愛終於再次相見，你們歡樂地抱緊在一起，從今以後永不分離。他親吻你的臉，你輕撫他的頸，當你再一次凝望他那雙充滿信任的眼睛時，你發覺他是那位離開了你許久但卻又從未離開過你心靈的心愛寵物。

自從以後，你和你的心愛一起邁向彩虹之橋。
